This competition is BJCP sanctioned and open to any amateur homebrewer age 21 or older.

All entries must arrive at the destination by the drop-off/shipping deadline or entry fees will be forfeited. All entries must be handcrafted products, containing ingredients available to the general public, and made using private equipment by hobbyist brewers (i.e., no use of commercial facilities or Brew on Premises operations, supplies, etc.).

The competition organizers are not responsible for mis-categorized entries that are not received by the entry deadline, or entries that arrived damaged. The competition organizers reserve the right to combine styles for judging, to restructure awards as needed, depending upon the quantity and quality of entries. Qualified judging of all entries is the primary goal of our event. Judges will evaluate and score each entry. The average of the scores will rank each entry in its category. Each flight will have at least one BJCP judge. Brewers are limited to one entry in each subcategory (style). Duplicate Brewer entries in a subcategory will be removed, including co-brewer. The competition committee reserves the right to combine categories based on number of entries.

All possible effort will be made to combine similar styles. All brews in combined categories will be judged according to the style they were originally entered in. The Best of Show judging will be determined by a Best of Show panel based on a second judging of the top winners.

Bottles will not be returned to entrants.

San Antonio Cerveceros is proud to have the following sponsors for the 2025 Brew Battle sponsored by Sam Adams.

Sam Adams
Boston, Massachusetts
Sam Adams
Our passion for never settling, and brewing quality, flavorful beers started with our founder, Jim Koch. He brewed the first batch of Boston Lager in his kitchen – a recipe that belonged to his great great grandfather that he found in his father’s attic back in the early 1980’s. Lets just say we’ve come a long way since that first batch in the kitchen. But, even though we grew, we continue to be an independent craft brewery that’s committed to brewing only the best-crafted beers for our drinkers. At our Boston Brewery, we’re still trying new things every day; some good, and, well, some not-so good. We learn from the process, and never give up on the journey towards the next tasty beer. It’s our commitment to you that keeps us innovative, inspired, and striving to become better every single day.
Alamo Beer Company

Alamo Beer Company
ALAMO Beer Co. sits beneath the Hays Street Bridge in Downtown San Antonio, Texas. Since 2014, we’ve served up our family of beers in our Beer Hall and Garden just outside our brewery facility. Beer and food are available for purchase in the tap room during Beer Hall hours, and free tours happen on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. We're proud to be a family-friendly venue, so bring your children along with you! Keep them entertained with a board game from our new indoor game wall, where we have various options for guests of all ages and groups of all sizes. If it's a nice day, you'll find cornhole, giant Connect 4, large Jenga, and more in the beer garden and under the bridge!
