He brewed the first batch of Boston Lager in his kitchen – a recipe that belonged to his great great grandfather that he found in his father’s attic back in the early 1980’s. Lets just say we’ve come a long way since that first batch in the kitchen. But, even though we grew, we continue to be an independent craft brewery that’s committed to brewing only the best-crafted beers for our drinkers. At our Boston Brewery, we’re still trying new things every day; some good, and, well, some not-so good. We learn from the process, and never give up on the journey towards the next tasty beer. ALAMO Beer Co. sits beneath the Hays Street Bridge in Downtown San Antonio, Texas. Since 2014, we’ve served up our family of beers in our Beer Hall and Garden just outside our brewery facility. Beer and food are available for purchase in the tap room during Beer Hall hours, and free tours happen on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. We're proud to be a family-friendly venue, so bring your children along with you! Keep them entertained with a board game from our new indoor game wall, where we have various options for guests of all ages and groups of all sizes.
